The best thing to use is warm water with sea salt in it.


After getting pierced the tongue will swell up to about twice its normal size and white stuff will come out from the wound. Do not worry, this is normal. Swelling will start reducing in three to four days and go away completely in seven to eight. If it's not go to the doctor. The tongue should be fully healed within 6-8 weeks. During those weeks do not play with or touch the tongue. Always rinse tongue with warm water and sea salt after it has been touched or after eating something. You may want to avoid eating hot or spicy foods during the healing process, as this may cause discomfort and hinder the healing process. One should only eat small, soft amounts of food like mashed bananas, mashed potatoes, cereal, cold soup, applesauce or rice. Ensure is a great way to get the protein and vitamins you need. Rinse mouth out before and after every meal or drink. Do not drink alcohol or coffee. Do not smoke.|||The pus is normal for a new piercing because the body views it as a foreign object in the body and it will try to fight it off. This has happen with all my piercing.





The best thing to do is swish some sea salt with really hot water in your mouth every time you eat and us the same solution (sea salt and hot water) for mouth wash when you brush your teeth.





I would also suggest you carry some sea salt in a zip lock bag with you so when you are out you have it on hand to rinse your mouth.|||that sounds kinda infected... i never got an infection when i got my tongue pierced lol um i used mouthwash every day . i think it was act? or something, it didnt have alcohol in it i know that much lol but yeah um i'd go back to the place you got it done and ask the person who did it! hope your tongue gets better!oooo ok! i rememberd! i got this salt water spray@the piercing place! i think it was called H2ocean it had a mermaid on it! it worked really well! its a good piercing cleaner and helps heals! they told me to use it when i got my nipples done too!|||just gargle with salt water and use a cotton but with salt water on to clean round the hole both on the top and underneath the hole. good luck

I have thin hair but want to create loose curls, should i buy a medium or large barrel curling tong?

I would suggest neither. I personally use all sizes of curling irons but I would say purchase rollers (curlers). I have always used Conair and love it. First use a shine serum (like John Frieda Frizzease/Shine Serum) and a heat protectant. Put it on a medium-high heat setting and roll the curls in the hair. Finish off with a light or heavy hairspray depending on your hair type (as you say thin you may need a heavy duty hair spray).





You can either get rollers with multiple sizes or one big size. This is a good one: http://www.conair.com/infiniti-conair-to鈥?/a>|||For loose curls (my hair is thin too dammit) layer your hair for thickness, and either scrunch it with moose when loose and sprotz with a smoothing serum or curl trendils around your fingers when blowdrying! Also stops it dying quicker on tongs! besides tongs take forever|||depends on your hair length also...if its shorter stick to the med sized one. the larger isn't really any good if you can even wrap you hair around it :)





if the curls end up looking too strong like ringlets, just run your hand through them and add some curl defining moose rather than hairspray.|||i would use small tongs because if you hair is thin this will create more curls and give the effects of thicker hair|||Medium|||get a ghd. u can do anything! costs a bit more, but WOW u'll love it i promise ;p

What should i use to curl my hair..normal rollers or a curling tong?

i go to college and i dont have lots of time in the morning to curl my hair so i thought about using rollers, but i am not sure weather they will curl my hair propley..and how can i get my curls to stay in as they usually drop as soon as i get outside :(|||You should try using a curling gel on you damp hair and then roll them before you go to sleep. In the morning, put a (very) little light hold hairspray... I have the same problem, that usually works unless it's really humid.|||I find it's best to curl my hair using a 1 or 2 inch curling iron. I keep a strand of hair curling for about 30 seconds then take it out. After I'm done curling all my hair, I use a little hairspray, some frizz spray that way it doesn't go crazy, and maybe if you want some kind of gel that will hold your curls or even make them curlier(:|||I've found that tongs are more effective but are harsher to your hair whereas rollers are less destructive but take MUCH longer and don't achieve a brilliant effect unless you layer the hair in hairspray. Use mouse and hairspray to keep the curls. =]

WHEN THE former Dean of Worcester, Robert Jeffery, was Vicar of Tong in Shropshire, he found the existing History of Tong and Boscobel to be “a rather strange and bitty book . . . not very well organised”. More than 20 years later, he has completed his own well-researched version.








He mentions in passing The Voices of Morebath, Eamon Duffy’s book about a Devon village at the time of the Reformation. Surprisingly, the Tong book also tells us much about English life, but over a much longer period, and reaches out beyond Shropshire. You do not have to be familiar with Morebath or Tong to enjoy either book.








Robert Jeffery is fortunate in finding so many interesting characters. Even one of his more recent predecessors was famous for having bowled out W. G. Grace for a duck. Tong Castle was the home of Henry Vernon, who witnessed Prince Arthur’s marriage contract with Catherine of Aragon. Two hundred years later, one of her books was found, uncatalogued, in the Castle library.








In 1756, a guest at the Castle gave birth unexpectedly to a girl whom we now know as Mrs Fitzherbert, the secret wife of the Prince Regent.








The most interesting castle resident was George Durant, who had 20 children by two wives, and yet others by the maids. One son, who invented Sweep’s Patent Chimney Brushes, was called Anguish after his mother’s sufferings at his birth.








Durant attended church on Sundays, sitting in a chantry that he had turned into his family pew. Halfway through matins, a servant with a tray would carry his lunch down the nave to his seat. He improved the Castle grounds with such features as an iron seat called St Swithun’s chair, which triggered a shower of water whenever anyone sat on it. The lodge was rebranded Convent Lodge, and had a gatekeeper dressed as a nun.

Chinese Dumpling Jiaozi Stuffing Mixture (makes ~ 100 Jiaozi)





one packet of round Chinese dumpling skins (be sure it is Chinese Dumpling skins and not Wonton skins. Wonton skins are thicker)


1.5 lbs mix of lean and fatty ground pork (the fat gives great flavor but too much will cause your Chinese dumplings to leak out during cooking so try to get a mixture of both lean and fatty pork)


4-5 cups of chopped Chinese Leeks (can also use regular leeks but will need to slice thinly)


1 cup of chopped Napa cabbage


3 tbsp of corn starch


2 tbsp of salt or soy sauce.


ground pepper





Mix up your lean and fatty ground pork in a large mixing bowl. Chop Chinese Leeks and Napa Cabbage to about 1/4 inch pieces and mix in with the meat. Add 3 tbsp of corn starch, salt and ground pepper to the mix. Stir until well mixed. Since the leeks will soften and reduce in size during cooking, you鈥檒l want a higher proportion of leeks in this mixture. Add more if necessary.





Folding your Jiaozi Chinese Dumplings


There鈥檚 a whole art to folding these Chinese dumplings and here鈥檚 your chance to create your own style. The following is just a recommendation on how to fold your Chinese dumpling jiaozi. I鈥檝e met some handy veterans that can stuff and roll these Chinese dumpling jiaozi with one hand!





First fill the Chinese dumpling wrapper with about a teaspoon of stuffing, then taking your index finger brush a small amount of warm water just on the far edge of the wrapper opposite of you. Gently fold the Chinese dumpling wrapper over with your fingers and seal to finish. To make a fancy edge, you can double fold over and then press to the wet edge of the Chinese dumpling wrapper. (See photo).





Cooking your Jiaozi Chinese Dumplings


As I mentioned before Chinese Dumplings are very versatile in Northern Chinese cooking. You can simply steam your jiaozi or boil them with noodles. Chinese dumplings are also great pan fried like potstickers.





Chinese Dumpling Jiaozi Soup:


Add a quart of water to a saucepan and bring to a boil. Add your Jiaozi into the boiling water. When the Chinese Dumplings float they鈥檙e ready. Drain and set aside. (at this point you can pan fry them if you want to go that route - they can be eaten with soy sauce/white vinegar mixutre or hot sauce). To make a Chinese Dumpling soup, boil a few quarts of chicken or vegetable stock. Add Napa cabbage, mushrooms. Then mix in your Chinese dumplings. Season with soy sauce, sesame oil, raw chopped scallions. Use a heat protectant spray or cream to protect the hair and it should be ok. with a 16mm barrell you'll get smaller curls. That reallyb depends on your personal hair type, your ethnicity, how thick or thin your hair is and who's going to be curling it. ( you or a beautician ) I'm african american and often use a curling iron to do curly do's. Being african american my hair is naturally dry ( due to relaxing ) Before i use the curling iron I make sure to moisturize my hair first ( so the iron won't dry it out completly ) Then i pick my style. If you plan on doing this yourself make sure you can see what your doing in the back ( so you won't miss any spots ) or have a girlfriend or mom help you.


After picking your style use a product that has some hold to it. Moose, gel and hairspray. Apply that to the section of hair to be curled.


Comb/brush through that section that is to be curled and then curl that section.


For big fat curls use a curling iron with a large barrel


For tiny curles use a curling iron with a tiny barrel

Recipe on how to make TONG YUEN (flour dumplings)?

(its really spelt) Tang Yuan





4 cups glutinous-rice flour


4 cups brown sugar


12 cups water





Mix the rice flour and about 2 cups of water together in a bowl. Use enough water to make a thick dough, about the consistency of play dough. To be sure that the dough isn鈥檛 too runny, add one cup of water to the rice flour and mix. Slowly add the second cup, stopping when the dough reaches the right consistency. You may not need the entire cup of water.Knead the dough for about five minutes.


. Divide the dough into three lumps. Add a few drops of food coloring to each lump. One lump will be green, etc.Work the food coloring completely into the dough.


. In a large kettle, heat the other 10 cups of water with the brown sugar. Keep stirring so that the sugar doesn鈥檛 burn. The sugar should completely melt.


. Roll the dough into marble-sized rice flour balls.


. Carefully drop them into the sugar water syrup. Avoid splashing or spilling the syrup.


. Cook the rice balls until they float to the surface of the syrup.


. Serve the rice balls in the syrup. They are good either hot or cold.

How to creat loose waves or curls with a curling tong ?

Hi Im having a bit of trouble trying to creat a wave in my hair I have a high heat multi styler with different attach ments with a a normal curling tong and a drop curl tong, the thing is the curls are always too tight and as I have thick hair the more hair I curl the thicker my hair becomes, So I was thinking If I was to put a bit of a wave in I would have a nice effect but not too dramatic but I cant seem to do it.


My hair is below shoulder lenght.





In the set that I got I also have a triple barrel tong to creatr waves but this tend to give too much of a wave and doesnt look nautal enough.

i have just below shoulder hair and for work i always wear it curly(im a dancer) .


if you can get them, get a section of your hair and pull it out , get the hair starighteners and the top facing the ceeling get the hair , then twist slightly as you pull down.


it might take a few attenpts but you will get it, and believe me they look much ''cleaner'' than using curling tongs etc.


as its straightening the frizz whilsts curling the haier.
