Yes, but the swelling will eventually go away.|||no, you may sound a bit lispy just after you get it done as your tongue is swollen and u need to get used to the feeling of the bar.
i have my tongue pierced and sound no different than i did b4, wat the guy who pierced my tongue said is any1 who starts speaking differently is usually just doing it for attention and so people will notice they gotten there tongue pierced.
hope helped x|||after get the tongue pierced it swells up, u will have learn how to eat again as in u will keep biten the tongue bar as chew. the best was is to break small bits off and push to the back of any side u chew on, it helps to get something into ur system.
at 1st may sound dif while talking but normally its fine and nobody wil notice unless u show them ur tongue.
after 2-3 weeks swap the long tongue bar for small 1 as the 1get 1st is longer then normal due to the swelling after get the small type in feel better. also get plastic balls on the bar due to damaging ur teeth as for while u will bite on the bar either eating or talking and chip ur teeth.
i have mine done a year now, i did find it hard to eat at 1st but soon got the hang of it. i didnt talk any dif and my college mates didnt know till showed them the tongue bar. now if took it out my tongue feels weird and not normal, like peice me and its always been in my tongue. love matching the bars for outfits or even have the colours of my country on another for match days. u can also get pictures on the bars ie. playboy bunny, hash leaf, flags etc.
if getting it done dont worry about simple things go get it and no blood drops from ur tongue also, not as bad as people think dont feel it and all over with in minute. and after its done rince mouth out after meals with salted water and mouth wash for 1st month to help it heals.
goodluck and enjoy|||You probably will get a lisp in the first few days which should subside as you get used to your new piercing. I have had my tongue pierced for a few years now and only notice any kind of speaking problem with one word really: Crysathamum.|||Its like getting a Retainer you will have a lisp for awhile, and it will either go away, or you and everyone you know wont notice it anymore|||yes but only for a little while because the tongue slightly swells up when it has just been pierced.
mine lasted 2 weeks but i say a month tops then you will be speaking normally again :)
x|||yes, and look! Why would you want to be like everybody else? Try something new and not get your tong pieced?|||You have a lisp while you're tongue is swollen at the start but after that I don't think so.|||yes but eventually you will get used to it being there and will sound normal|||yeah, it'll make you sound like you're talking with you mouth full|||kindof, and your dentist wont be happy either.|||for about the first month|||yeth|||LOL...yeah but only until you get used to it!|||FOR THE 1ST COUPLE OF DAYS YES BUT AFTER 2-3DAY U WILL BE FINE
